Mulled Wine

Recipe

Serves - 2-3

Preparation time - 5 minutes

Cooking time - 1-2 hours

Ingredients

4 cups cranberry juice

2 cinnamon sticks

4 cloves

1 large orange sliced

3 star anise

1 tsp nutmeg powder

Method

  1. Add all the spices and orange in a slow cooker or a heavy bottom pan.

  2. Pour over the cranberry juice.

  3. Simmer the mixture for 1-2 hours.

  4. Cool, and enjoy!

Chef’s tips

  1. Alter the recipe with 3.5 cups of cranberry juice and 0.5 cup of orange juice.

  2. Sieve and cool the mixture before serving.

Assembly

  1. Add the cooked orange slice.

  2. If you’re storing the wine in a jug, add the spices to keep the flavour flowing.
