Schezwan Chilli Tofu

Recipe

Preparation time - 5 minutes

Cooking time - 10 minutes

Serves - 1-2

Ingredients

2 tbsp Oil

1 block Tofu (silken firm or firm)

3 cloves of Garlic (diced)

1 Spring Onion stalk

1 Red chilli (chopped)

2 tbsp Schezwan sauce

1 tbsp Soy sauce

1/4 cup Water

Cornflour slurry (1 tsp Cornflour : 1 tbsp Water)

Method

  1. In a pan add oil and fry tofu till crispy. Remove tofu from the pan and set aside.

  2. In the same pan add garlic, chilli and spring onion. Cook for 1-2 mins.

  3. Add schezwan sauce and water. Bring this mixture to a boil.

  4. Pour in the Cornflour slurry. Allow to thicken slightly.

  5. Add in the tofu. Fold until all the pieces are coated and serve
